One Gospel

One Gospel

We have been conducting a study of Galatians 1, 2 and 3 this week and have been tasked with studying these three chapters at least twice daily. It is a great exercise and really drives home what Paul is attempting to teach the people of Galatia. Since my head is very hard and extremely thick I need exercises of this nature in order to better understand what is being said, the importance of the teaching and to see a much clearer picture of how the Gospel works in our lives.

I am, once again, reminded of the the dream God placed on my heart that saved my life. Once again, the call to mission has been so strong for the past two years that it feels like I’m going to explode if I don’t get out and start spreading the Word. Jesus Christ, and no one else, saved my life, brought me back from the dead and placed my feet on solid ground. Am I the bondservant of Christ or just another hack living day-to-day?

This is the choice every Christian has every day of their life. Are we carrying the Word, living the Word and delivering the Word to others or are we simply wearing a name tag? My prayer is that I will begin sharing stories with you, beginning next week or soon after, of the adventures of carrying the Word to the men at my local Rescue Mission.

Galatians 1 NKJV

13 For you have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it.
14 And I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries in my own nation, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.
15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace,
16 to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood,
17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.
