Dark to Light – Uncleanness Holy
Dr Martin Luther King, Jr once famously said, Darkness can not drive out darkness only light can do that. Hate can not drive out hate, only love can do that. That’s one of my all time favorite quotes. It paints an undeniable image that even most young children can see. We need more Light and a lot less dark in our world today. While it seems as if the darkness is winning, it is not as the Light is spreading far and wide.
In first Thessalonians 4:7 Paul explained it slightly different but exactly the same when we wrote – For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. Paul is explaining to the Thessalonians that God did not call them into the darkness but to follow the Light, the Light that is Jesus Christ.
It may be the most difficult of lessons for me to learn but I am learning a little more everyday. I pray more on this topic than any other. Needing the constant reminder asking Our Father to drive out the darkness with Light.

7 and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels,
8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
