Global Populist Uprising Is Reaching Inflection Point by Randolph Jason for Gospel News Network
The uprising in France hasn’t reached the point of no return, yet, but it seems the French, and people around the world, are moving closer to the edge with every passing day.
No one here is calling for violence. If you look at what is happening in France you will see the police are the ones generating all the violence. If you look at Italy and Brazil you will see, so far, a system electing a new Prime Minister / President and attempting to make the necessary changes. The same thing has happened in the U.S. with the election of President Trump. The people in the U.S., and around the world, can now see the hidden hand of a shadow government – unelected, all powerful, Robert Mueller – directing the day-to-day operations of the White House. If you don’t think Mueller is directing the day-to-day operations – when was the last time you didn’t hear about Mueller and this never ending, senseless “investigation”? How can a Team focus on the real problems when they are constantly swatting a gnat?
If we go all the way back to #OccupyWallStreet and how that movement quickly moved from a very small city park in the middle of New York City to a global phenomenon in a few short weeks, we can actually see the roots of the Gilets Jaunes (Yellow Vest) today. It wasn’t a single jump from #OWS to the Yellow Vest we also have witnessed the Arab Spring, BREXIT and the election of President Donald Trump. After all these events we arrive at the Yellow Vest movement, the election of Italian President Salvini and Brazilian President Bolsonaro. This is no longer a small group of angry college students, this is people, literally, all over the world rising up and saying – enough is enough.

Can we define “enough is enough”? What exactly are the issues driving this global uprising and global shift away from the status quo to a populist / nationalist movement? As a matter of fact it can be defined quiet succinctly. Raise your hand if any of this has been on your radar in the past ten+ years: automation of jobs, technology ruling our lives, social engineering, wages being completely stagnated for the past 50+ years, the top 0.001% taking all the wealth and leaving a few crumbs for the rest of us, big box stores completely wiping out mom and pop stores from every neighborhood, two-tiered justice system, Christian faith under constant attack from every angle, being told diversity is good, immigration is awesome, healthcare cost going through the roof while quality of service is down the drain. My guess is about 99.999% of you raised your hand and possibly kept it raised on each of the points made.
These are the big-ticket items that unite most all of us in the western world. Government no longer represents the people, corporations are stealing everything and have little time for you or your family. This is to say nothing of the fact that employers are looking for a younger, cheaper and, possibly, border jumping version of yourself. I’m not a racist, xenophobe (whatever that is) or hate immigrants. I love Jesus, my family and my community. It would be great to see the U.S. remain the U.S. and not become just another 3rd world country with oligarchs and serfs. If we remain on the current path much longer that is exactly what our nation will become; haves and have nots with nothing in between.

Places like Belgium and Macedonia are experiencing similar uprisings as France, but there is little coverage.
