For I Will Deliver Him…
We are confronted with situations every single day that we have breath in our lungs. That breath comes from God. At the basic level of life we are 100% dependent upon God. When these various situations pop-up our will kicks in and we, sometimes, a lot of times and with some of us, all the time, we forget we are living in God’s will not ours and don’t understand why everything is going sideways.
The trouble, the decision or direction we are faced with becomes something we take into our hands. Sometimes, like what just happened, we see it as our decision. We see it as something we should handle when, in fact, these are the decisions that should be brought before God in the quietest of times, in the still of the moment and listen for His voice, for His direction and for His response to what we are facing. Even if it is a war; even if it is a financial situation; even if it is one of those situations that will change your life forever.
Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei. And the LORD said unto me, Fear him not: for I will deliver him, and all his people, and his land, into thy hand; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon. So the LORD our God delivered into our hands Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people: and we smote him until none was left to him remaining. ~ Deuteronomy 3:1-3 KJB

We love helping others and believe that’s one of the reasons we are chosen as Ambassadors of the Kingdom, to serve God’s children. We look to the Greatest Commandment as our Powering force.
Even in a time of war we should turn to our God and make way for His way. Our way is the way of disaster, but God’s way is straight and true. God will not leave us, God sent His one and only Son to the cross as a sacrifice for our sins. The only One that has ever lived, or that ever will live, a life free from sin. Our ways are not His ways. Just as we look at the “shiny new thing” and become blind, God has already seen it in its lackluster state and is trying to keep us from harm.
We see a financial deal that will help our family, restore what we perceive as lost dignity and put some earthly treasure in our pocket. God sees an unethical clan, a situation that should not be and a others attempting to create division and mistrust among the Godly tribe we are aligned. God will even go so far as to destroy the “deal” in order to protect His own.
Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
