A Brief Study of Romans Day 3: Battle of Flesh and Spirit
This is my life everyday. It is a constant re-minder to stay as close to Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit throughout the day. The enemy is very adapt at morphing into what ever character works best for the scenario. Jealously can morph into gluttony into anger or any number of other sins. At the end of the line all sin is based in fear and false pride. The false pride covers for the fear and the fear morphs into anger which calls on false pride and the vicious never ending circle goes round and round. This is when I must remember to call out to the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ. When I remember who’s in charge the circle is cracked, the enemy is defeated and I can once again find peace and rest in Our Fathers loving Light.
Romans 7 NKJV
21 I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good.
22 For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man.
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me
25 I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.
