I’m A Child Of God…Like Millions Of Others

A lot of Christians believe the “goal” is to be born again, be saved so they can go to heaven. That is the foundation upon which we build our lives. That is merely the beginning, not the end. When a person is born again and their life is changed to the point of being a new creature, what makes them think, believe, that’s the goal without their whole life changing and starting over? How does a person ascend into a new life without everything changing?

If a person is going through their life and, for example, between the ages of 30 and 35 they see their life in a different Light should that person remain living the same life, walking the same path and being who they were for the first 30+ years of their life or…or should everything change?

It doesn’t mean they have to get divorced / married or abandon their children but it does mean who they are should come to the fore and the new creature should begin living their life in Christ.

We are a child of God – like millions of others
We should ascend, expand and transform into who we are in Christ

If we are born again and nothing changes, what was the purpose of being baptized into the name of Jesus Christ and asking for our life to change?

If we are a child of God, like millions of other people, does our Christ Identity mean anything; what value does it actually carry? What does it mean to be born again into Jesus Christ? How does it apply to this new life?

If we don’t ascend into our new life are we going to be satisfied in standing still? If our horizons, in the Kingdom of God, don’t expand will we see things any differently? If we are still conforming to this world and not transforming our lives through the renewing of our mind how will we ever prove, especially to those around us, that which is the good, acceptable and perfect will of God?

We look at ourselves and all we see is our sinful life. What does God see when He looks upon us? Perhaps a fisher of men or maybe a mighty man of valor or could it be a voice for all nations for all entirety? Who are we in the Lords eyes? Are we a murderer or the greatest Christian missionary that ever was or will ever be?

All of these men are real. Peter (Matthew 4 and Mark 1), Gideon (Judges 6), Isiah (Isiah 6) and Paul (Acts 9) they were all entrenched in their sinful life, until they weren’t. When do we allow God to change our lives and make us in His image?

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
