This Is What Hunger Riots Look Like – As The Food Crisis Worsens We See What Happens When A Nation Cannot Survive Spiking Prices And Food Shortages By Susan Duclos – All News PipeLine
While periodically we receive an email, or a comment from a reader assuring us that at their local store they are not seeing the massive food shortages that others are seeing and sending us images of, those firsthand accounts are getting rarer and rarer as the shortage images and totally empty shelves are becoming more frequent.
We have also noted a pattern in smaller geographical areas seeing less shortages, as well as the bigger, more visited stores, and the pattern of products we are seeing rapidly depleting, such as pastas, crackers and bread products such as bagels and biscuits, are being seen in multiple states, and different stores.
Before highlighting some of the recent reports, and showing other images sent in to ANP, we wanted to show what happens when rising costs of food, fuel and subsequent food shortages, become too much for people to bear.

The clips compiled in the short video below are from Peru, where it states in the video description “Some clips of the riots in Peru over fuel, food & inflation the MSM isn’t covering.”
The clips were taken from social media users in April 2022, with one stating “PERU :#VIDEO CLASHES BETWEEN POLICE & PROTESTERS HAVE LEFT 6 PEOPLE DEAD!- A total of 6 people have lost their lives since the protests against rising fuel prices and inflation began.”
At around the 58 second mark in the video below is where the violent protests start, and since we here is the US are suffering the same inflation, gas and food price hikes and the type of shortages we see growing from the images being sent to us, it becomes critical to see for yourself what happens when people cannot afford to get what they need to survive.
This is what hunger riots will look like.
FOOD CRISIS REPORTS
Recently The Blaze published an article titled “Supply chain crisis: ‘Shocking’ national baby formula shortage forces rationing at major retail chain.”
The supply chain crisis has prompted Walgreens – the second-largest pharmacy store chain in the United States behind CVS – to limit the amount of baby formula that customers can purchase. A spokesperson for the national drugstore chain told CBS MoneyWatch that customers may only buy three infant and toddler formula products per transaction. Walgreens – which operates approximately 9,021 drugstores in all 50 states – said the reason for rationing is because of “increased demand and various supplier issues.” The restrictions are already in effect at stores.
CVS is also experiencing baby formula shortages. A CVC Health spokesperson told CBS News that “product supply challenges are currently impacting most of the retail industry.” The largest pharmacy store chain said it is working with “national brand baby formula vendors to address this issue and we regret any inconvenience that our customers may be experiencing.”
As of the week of March 13, an analysis by Datasembly found that 29% of the top-selling baby formula products were out of stock at more than 11,000 stores. A steep increase from 11% in November.
We start with the baby formula reports because an image sent us by a reader in PA, sent us an image that “shows” us what the written report cannot.
