Dr. Li-Meng Yan is the Chinese virologist who, at the peak of the coronavirus outbreak, shocked the world with her discourse that she was involved directly with the SARS-CoV-2 at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in Hong Kong. She alleges that COVID-19 was, in fact, produced in a laboratory as a bioweapon, purposely designed and spread.
“I had information directly from the Wuhan Institute of Virology,” Yan says. “I was in the WHO H5 Reference Lab at the University of Hong Kong. My position as the special agent for the confidential investigation of SARS-CoV-2 on behalf of the WHO lab is the key reason that I could obtain a lot of intelligence from China. Strictly, I defined it as an unrestricted bioweapon because it doesn’t fit the standard definition of bioweapon (to cause massive death and injury immediately during a war), but can cause even more damage once combined with misinformation, censorship and propaganda.”

Discovering in her research that the virus was transmissible person to person, she tried to warn those above her in December 2019. She says the Chinese government and World Health Organization knew and stopped her and her colleagues’ research, finally forcing her to flee Hong Kong in April 2020.
“I came to the US not only for my own personal protection, but to tell the truth of the virus to the world by myself,” she says. “That’s why I published three Yan Reports within one year with Yan Research, to leave the smoking gun evidence in case I’m ‘disappeared’ by the Chinese Communist Party.”
With the passage of time, her version of the story, given under penalty of death, has been reinforced as more information comes out.
In the middle of it all, though, at the height of the attacks on her, Yan had an experience with the Lord Jesus Christ following a seminar on the virus she gave at a church in Hawaii. Following the end of the program, the church spontaneously sang to her the precious passage from Numbers 6:24-26 (NIV): “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
As the people sang and proclaimed God’s blessing, the power of God suddenly came upon her, and she began to weep. Unbeknownst to the congregation, this was an answer to the prayer of her grandmother, beginning before she was born. Her home is the Christian city of Tsingtao, a former German colony famous as a large missionary center prior to the rise of communism.
One of Yan’s first memories is of the small, thick Chinese Bible, always a presence in the family home, as well as her grandmother’s kind, understanding manner. Because of the persecution of Christians in China, faith was not spoken of but as the church sang its blessing, she recalled this early foundation and her tears overflowed.
