For He Knew What Was In Man…
When we look upon a new born baby, even a baby that is not of our family, our hearts fill with joy, we rejoice at such a sight. When it is a new born baby in our family the joy within us can not be contained. We rejoice, we shout praises, we laugh, we cry as our hearts are overflowing with love, admiration and joy. Is it because we know, in our heart, this child, this new born, possess’ the innocence of Jesus Christ? Is it because we know the innocence of this child is pure and the love emanating from this child is real and untainted?
When we come in contact with a stranger why do we not approach them with the same heart? This person is just a person, another child of God? Why do we not see their heart? Why do we not know they are broken, beat-up and abused from this world, the same as ourselves? Why do we project our pain upon them and then blame them for our fear?
But Jesus did not commit Himself unto them, because He knew all men, and needed not that any should testify of man: for He knew what was in man. ~ John 2:24-25 KJB

We love helping others and believe that’s one of the reasons we are chosen as Ambassadors of the Kingdom, to serve God’s children. We look to the Greatest Commandment as our Powering force.
When we entrust ourselves to others, when we allow our fears to be made manifest because of another person we are no longer seeing that person’s heart. We are no longer walking with Jesus Christ, we have, essentially, turned away from Jesus – separation = sin. When we separate from Jesus Christ is when all kinds of things happen that can be ugly, untrustworthy, hate-filled and the like. We have, in fact, stepped out of our identity and put on a false mask that comes from… the deceiver. The devil is the one that provides false identities, the deceiver, the tempter, the accuser and so many other false identities that he offers to us and we happily accept. This happens as soon as we take our eyes off Jesus, as soon as we stop listening to the Holy Spirit and as soon as think we have separated from God. God is still with us it’s just that we have put on a fig leaf – a mask – and we think we are hiding from His love and we can now do things He would never approve of us doing. The deceiver has convinced us that since we have put on a fig leaf, a mask, a false identity that it’s okay.
But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: these are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashed hands defiles not a man. ~ Matthew 15:18-20 KJB
When we allow fear of our brothers and sisters in Christ to harden our hearts nothing good will come from it. Whatever happens does not effect the others, however, it greatly effects us.
Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
