It Is Always There…
How many people have we seen suffering with addiction? Was it TV, exercise, chocolate, pornography, sex, work, food, sleep, alcohol, pets, cars, sports / football, drugs and the list goes on and on. How many people? We as followers of Jesus Christ are responsible for pointing this out. We are responsible for bringing this to their attention. We are responsible for loving them until they can love themselves. We are responsible for showing them how Jesus Christ has brought us back from the edge and given us new life through Him. This is living faith, not by sight do we walk but by living faith.
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life—the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us—that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full. ~ 1 John 1:1-4 NKJB
Having our joy made full in Jesus Christ is the point, is it not? If we aren’t filled with joy, would we not do this thing which we do? We wouldn’t do it. Life everlasting is the ultimate promise of Jesus Christ, but what about the promises as we walk, as we are patient in our longsuffering and as we pray over others, as we pray throughout the day, as we seek the will of God would we not want to be filled with joy throughout the day? Of course we would.

We love helping others and believe that’s one of the reasons we are chosen as Ambassadors of the Kingdom, to serve God’s children. We look to the Greatest Commandment as our Powering force.
When do we start? When do we accept the fact that we can be joyful throughout the day, every day of our lives? The beauty of God rests within us. The beauty of God is all around us, it lies within the broken pieces like a blessing that must be sought. When we see that leper approaching us, a simple hello will usually suffice. When we happen upon a person in a situation that needs a little extra effort to make it happen, the hands of God becoming our hands can help out. We have to look for it, but it is there, it is always there.
Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
