Nigeria “biggest killing ground of Christians”: 50 more Christians murdered in Kaduna state by Karen Faulkner, Worthy News Correspondent
Fulani militants murdered 50 people in predominantly Christian villages in Nigeria’s Kaduna state in September alone, International Christian Concern (ICC) reports.
Rights groups and local residents have been begging for help and warning of a Christian genocide in Nigeria as the government and international community continues to allow Fulani militants to murder, terrorize and displace tens of thousands of Christians with impunity.
In addition to the September killings in Kaduna, the militants also destroyed 254 homes, and attacked seven churches, ICC said. The attacks took place in the Atyap Chiefdom of southern Kaduna, where the population is around 84% Christian.

“The Atyap chiefdom in Zangon Kataf had recently come under heavy attacks resulting in killing, maiming, destroying of houses and places of worship as well as destruction of crops in farmlands,” Daily Post Nigeria reported.
Appealing for governmental help to those affected by the onslaught of attacks, Sir Dominic Yahaya, the ruler of the Atyap Chiefdom, said in a press conference on Monday: “I wish to passionately appeal to the federal and state governments to come to the aid of these homeless peasants whom, not fewer than 15,000 of them are now in Internally Displaced Person camps, by providing succor particularly in the area of building materials to enable them re-erect structures to return to their communities.”
“Nigeria is the biggest killing ground of Christians today, but few are aware of it,” ICC said in a statement in July.
