Prepare The Way…

Prepare The Way…

What are we doing to prepare the way for Jesus Christ, Emmanuel to enter our hearts?

“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” For this is the one referred to by Isaiah the prophet when he said,

“The voice of one crying in the wilderness,
‘Make ready the way of the Lord,
Make His paths straight!’ ” ~Matthew 3:2-3 NASB95

Does our heart cry out, do we even understand what that means?

Some days it feels as if the wilderness is all encompassing, allowing no ear to hear, no eye to see. We push forward, we cry out and we stay closer to the Light, drinking more of the Living Waters and seeking His wisdom to be more like Him, serving His children and carrying our cross. More strength is the only way, more Love is necessary to make the path straight.

Father, God as we give You all the glory, all the praise, we thank You that Your mercies are renewed everyday. You paid debt in our name that we can never repay. We love You, Lord, with all our strength, with all our heart, with our mind and all our soul. It is not enough. We honor You as best we can and ask for Your loving arms to wrap around those in pain. We ask Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, to lift up the families at the Hope Center, shower mercy and grace upon our friends and family that are hospitalized and give rest to those have sent a family member Home to be with You. Father God, Almighty Lord, reign down, touch the skin of those walking with a lightened step, laughing with joy and welcoming a new Ambassador into this world. Help us to understand instead of being understood. Help us to show love where there is discord and shine Your Light through us to illuminate the darkness and make the path clear. In Jesus Christ loving name we pray. Amen

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
