Here’s a tip: Once you’ve established a baseline of deep pantry food storage, from that point on you have the luxury of replenishing those foods – waiting until they’re on sale. Over time lots of things will go on sale (simply to entice people into the store), so why not take advantage of it when those foods happen to be what you store and eat?

UPDATE: I am updating this original post by adding this categorical reason! Most of us have been experiencing various supply disruptions since the onset of ‘Covid’. Cyber attacks are also playing a part in disruptions. We live in a modern world of ‘just in time’ manufacturing-to-delivery, which only works well when there are no unexpected ‘hiccups’. There are lots of systemic risks built into this method of inventory control. I cannot emphasize enough, the importance of building in your own cushion for this!
