Dreams, Visions and Imagination…
Would any aspect of our world ever change if we didn’t dream, receive visions and possess one of the greatest gifts from God, imagination?
You were born to dream. Everybody. We never reach our potential apart from the capacity for dreaming.
So, God’s goodness is actually displayed through your ability to dream big.~Pastor Bill Johnson, Bethel Church
It has been dreams, visions and imagination that God burned into the hearts and minds of many people throughout history that changed the world. What new idea, gadget or engineering marvel didn’t originate from one of these three avenues? These gifts from God determine societies progress or regression. When we ignore our dreams, visions and imagination society regresses. Why? Because we are turning our back on God. We are not honoring His gifts.
December 7, 2002 there was a dream that changed this life forever. That dream will never leave. It is burned into the spirit of this vessel. That dream caused the flesh to stir, moved the flesh from sin to redeemed and changed the course, the name and every aspect of life. A new creature has emerged from that one dream.
Now is your chance to support Gospel News Network.
We love helping others and believe that’s one of the reasons we are chosen as Ambassadors of the Kingdom, to serve God’s children. We look to the Greatest Commandment as our Powering force.
The Holy Spirit, that fills us, walks with us and guides us, when we allow it, is another of the greatest gifts God has given the world. Is it the Holy Spirit that places the visions, dreams and images in our imagination? Is it the Holy Spirit, working in concert with the Father to deliver what we need just when we need it? Is it the Holy Spirit that delivers the Word from God to our tongue that allows the Word of God to be spoken through the Holy Spirit that lives in us?
I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. ~John 16:12-15 KJB
The KJB uses the word “shew” (show) while the NKJB uses the word “speak”. Speaking and showing are two completely different situations. Seeing and hearing can be tied together, however, not necessarily.
Can you see what God is showing you? Can you see what the Holy Spirit is delivering in the name of the Father? “All truth” will be shown unto you.
When we ask the Father “what do you want me to know?” the Holy Spirit begins moving. If we ask the Father “why did you do “X”? where is the opportunity for the Holy Spirit to interact with God and us?
Likewise, when we ask the Father “what do you want me to do?” the Holy Spirit, again, is summoned and begins to move delivering “all truth”. In the same manner as before, if we ask the Father “why…?” there is little opportunity for the Holy Spirit to move between us and the Father. The Holy Spirit is a tremendous ally. He wants to help us, He wants to walk with us, He wants desperately to see us glorify our Father, so He will jump as soon as we notify Him that we need Him. He will not hesitate.
Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
