How To Speak…
How many times have been speaking with someone who doesn’t speak our language and we find ourselves using the accent of the other and pronouncing a word using their accent? A word like “nature” or “sand” or “glass” but instead of attempting to say the word in the native language we simply speak a word, usually slowly, with their accent – for example, Spanish. No, it’s just me that’s done this? hmmmm.
Would it be that we do this with God? We are attempting to speak with God but instead of speaking directly, plainly and audibly we “beat-around-the-bush” using words that have nothing to do with the discussion and rolling this around in our head, in silence. This is not speaking, or listening to, God. This is the devil working us overtime.
What about speaking in the knowledge of our Loving, Powerful God?

We love helping others and believe that’s one of the reasons we are chosen as Ambassadors of the Kingdom, to serve God’s children. We look to the Greatest Commandment as our Powering force.
Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;
Before you were born I sanctified you;
I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
Then said I:
“Ah, Lord God!
Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.”
But the Lord said to me:
“Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’
For you shall go to all to whom I send you,
And whatever I command you, you shall speak.
Do not be afraid of their faces,
For I am with you to deliver you,” says the Lord. ~Jeremiah 1:4-8 NKJB
We are not all Prophets, but we can speak directly with the Lord and He with us. We may be a “youth” in our abilities but the Lord will still command us to speak when we know He is with us.
For behold, I have made you this day
A fortified city and an iron pillar,
And bronze walls against the whole land—
Against the kings of Judah,
Against its princes,
Against its priests,
And against the people of the land.
They will fight against you,
But they shall not prevail against you.
For I am with you,” says the Lord, “to deliver you.” ~Jeremiah 1:18-19 NKJB
While we are not all Prophets God does speak through us to demonstrate His power and sovereignty. When this happens we should never, ever cower we should allow the Lord to speak, through us, with all His authority, knowledge and power while we simply accept what is happening. After a while it becomes clear when the Lord is using us a mouthpiece, He can be felt all through our body, the words are clearly not ours and the gestures are His.
Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
