Each Member of The Church…
And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. ~Colossians 1:18 NKJB
We are, each born-again Christian, a member of the church, the body of Christ. It has been said the church means: body of the saved. Either these things we believe or we don’t. As a member of the body of Christ, the body of the saved, we are to bring our gifts to the table. We are to be a joyous member of the community in Christ and stand up for the Kingdom.
We gather with other believers to study the Word of God, to strengthen our belief in God and to learn how to take another step closer to God. We share our gifts, freely, with one another and we strengthen, freely, each member of the body of Christ.
Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way. ~1 Corinthians 12:27-31 NKJB
When do we share these gifts with nonbelievers? When do we go out in the world and spread the Word of God to those around us to sing His praises from the roof tops?
Now is your chance to support Gospel News Network.
We love helping others and believe that’s one of the reasons we are chosen as Ambassadors of the Kingdom, to serve God’s children. We look to the Greatest Commandment as our Powering force.
We should desire to spread the Gospel, the good news. We should desire to spend more time with Jesus Christ and walk with the Holy Spirit so when we come together with other members of the body they can be more abundantly filled and strengthened to glorify His mighty name.
Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
