Challenging God…
Should we challenge God? Should we look at His great works, His great gifts and question them? Should we push back His mercy, grace and redemption? Can freedom be found in these challenges? We think not.
When a person wakes up one day and has a thought that something is profoundly wrong with their life and it is their responsibility alone to change everything – everything, from the ground up must be changed. Not only should it be changed, it should be made opposite of its current state. It is up, it must point down. It is left, it must be right. If is light it must be made dark.
This may not be the best posture to take. The Lord reminds us what is likely to be the response when we tell Him what to do, how to do and where He made a mistake.

We love helping others and believe that’s one of the reasons we are chosen as Ambassadors of the Kingdom, to serve God’s children. We look to the Greatest Commandment as our Powering force.
“I have loved you,” says the Lord.
“Yet you say, ‘In what way have You loved us?’
Was not Esau Jacob’s brother?”
Says the Lord.
“Yet Jacob I have loved;
But Esau I have hated,
And laid waste his mountains and his heritage
For the jackals of the wilderness.”
Even though Edom has said,
“We have been impoverished,
But we will return and build the desolate places,”
Thus says the Lord of hosts:
“They may build, but I will throw down;
They shall be called the Territory of Wickedness,
And the people against whom the Lord will have indignation forever. ~Malachi 1:2-4 NKJB
Not sure that “indignation forever” is the response any of us are seeking. Not sure the situation, any situation, is worth having our homeland called Territory of Wickedness.
There is a saying that has been around for many, many decades, it goes something like this – never look a gift horse in the mouth. Accepting gifts, freely given, with grace and minus criticism may be the appropriate posture. A gift as grand as life should warrant a little humility when addressing the Creator of All.
Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
