Guilty by Association
When we were children most of our parents warned us about hanging out with the “wrong crowd” or spending time with people of a higher character and attempted to explain the benefits to our lives by following this simple rule. Some followed, some did not and still others played both sides of the story. Isiah 31:2 Yet He also is wise and will bring disaster, And will not call back His words, But will arise against the house of evildoers, And against the help of those who work iniquity.
As we grow and mature some discover the wisdom of their parents while others ignore all the signs, all the warnings, not to mention trips to jail, visits to the hospital and divorce court. We turn our back on our parents and by doing so disrupt the word of God and relationship with the Holy Spirit. Some will begin moving away from God in earnest, while others will come to their senses and seek, ask and knock.
We worship a loving God who delivered the Holy Spirit to guide our lives and gave us His only Son to remove our sin. Our Father doesn’t see any guilt by association, Our Father sees us, each individual, as His child and redeems us, if we come to Him and seek His forgiveness, through His grace and mercy.

Isiah 31 NKJV
4 For thus the Lord has spoken to me:
“As a lion roars,
And a young lion over his prey
(When a multitude of shepherds is summoned against him,
He will not be afraid of their voice
Nor be disturbed by their noise),
So the Lord of hosts will come down
To fight for Mount Zion and for its hill.
5 Like birds flying about,
So will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem.
Defending, He will also deliver it;
Passing over, He will preserve it.”
6 Return to Him against whom the children of Israel have
deeply revolted.
7 For in that day every man shall throw away
his idols of silver and his idols of gold— sin, which your own
hands have made for yourselves.
