Open The Heavens…

Open The Heavens…

The past several days there has been a darkness cast over my heart that has clouded my vision, saddened my soul while at the same time opened the Heavens revealing the beauty inside. Not the beauty inside me, for there is none, but the real beauty that lies within our Lord and Master, Christ Jesus.

Over the years a couple of different people have taught me that God speaks through people. Wether this is fact or not I can not say. What I can say, with confidence, is when people are praying for other people lives change. When people speak, Godly words, to other people…lives change. When people embrace other people in Christ’ name…lives change. It sounds like the Holy Spirit is working through these situations and using people as a vessel to…change lives.

Over the past few days something else has surfaced…the unquestionable power of praise, worship and prayer have truly revealed themselves as amazingly powerful instruments of the Lord. Music is the only unregulated drug that we have in this world. Any substance that changes your heart rate, neurological rate and emotional state is a drug. The power it brings to our lives can not be denied. We learned just how powerful praise, music, can be when the walls of Jericho fell to the ground. If praise, worship and prayer can bring down the walls of a city, surely, there is enough essence to transform lives.

Joshua 6 NKJV

1 Now Jericho was securely shut up because of the children of Israel; none went out, and none came in.
2 And the Lord said to Joshua: “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor.
3 You shall march around the city, all you men of war; you shall go all around the city once. This you shall do six days.
4 And seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark. But the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets.
5 It shall come to pass, when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, that all the people shall shout with a great shout; then the wall of the city will fall down flat. And the people shall go up every man straight before him.”
