Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated in the early hours of the morning in Iran, the Palestinian terror group said on Wednesday, describing the strike as a “severe escalation” that would not achieve its goals.
In a move that is sure to spark an unprecedent response, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, one of the ‘big three’ in leadership roles in the terror group, was stunningly assassinated in Iran in the early hours this morning while sleeping at his residence in Tehran. Haniyeh is the political leader of the Hamas terror organization. He was visiting Iran for the swearing-in of the new Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. You can forget all about that ‘hostages for peace ceasefire deal’ now, that’s gone. Now what?

Israel is very rapidly approaching the point of no return on the battlefield front, with the possibility of a three-front war in the Middle East. They are currently in war with Hamas in Gaza, flirting with war with Hezbollah in Lebanon, and depending on how Iran responds to the assassination of Haniyeh, war with Tehran as well. The United States would have to enter into that to prevent Israel from being overwhelmed, or Israel would have to use tactical nukes. If that was the case, you would see Russia and China, who have a military defense pact with Iran, stepping in.
