The Biblical Case For The Preservation Of God’s Word And The Supremacy Of The King James Bible Will Make A Believer Out Of You by Geoffrey Grider for Now The End Begins
There are some simple but very powerful truths God has preserved in scripture that leads you to see why we say the King James Bible is God’s perfect word, to the exclusion of all others.
Today I want to share a little something from my morning Bible reading that, whether you’re a new believer or an ‘old dog’, will help to increase your faith in the Bible. God’s word shows us a number of things about God’s nature and character that seem to be unchanging in either Testament, and consistent throughout all dispensations. God is pure, holy and righteous, His spirit is a purifying force, and that He likes to do things in sevens to make thing complete. There are seven whole note on the musical scale, seven days of the week, seven years for the time of Jacob’s trouble, seven men of honest report, seven days to bring down the walls at Jericho, Paul wrote to seven churches, John wrote to seven churches, Revelation shows us seven seals, seven trumpets, seven bowls, seven vials, seven angels, and a few hundred more examples besides all these. Very simple truths, and when you apply them to the preservation of the Bible, it shows you some astounding things.
“For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.” 2 Corinthians 2:17 (KJB)

The Bible shows us God’s unending promise to preserve His word, not His “message”, but His words in every generation as a witness. In our day, the conceit is that it doesn’t matter what Bible version you use because the “message is the same”, but that doesn’t work because that’s not the promise. The promise is to preserve the words, huge difference don’t you think? I sure do. Here’s a “fun fact”, there is only one thing all Bibles have in common, and that’s they are all different. So even if you want to remain neutral in the Bible wars for “which version?!?”, you can’t, you are forced to pick one because they are all different.
“The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.” Psalm 12:6, 7 (KJB)
Psalm 12 compares God’s word to silver as it is purified in a raging, hot furnace, purified seven times, at which point it is considered sufficiently pure and complete. Not only that, the same psalm then says that after it has been purified seven times, it shall be preserved from that 7th generation forever. It’s probably just an amazing coincidence, but, the Bible has undergone 7 main iterations and they are as follows:
