Knowledge Of The Holy Is Understanding…

If Jesus Christ knocked upon our door what would He find in our home? Would Jesus find us living in His word, drinking of His Water and singing His praise? Would Jesus find us in a tangle with our spouse, with our children or with our neighbor? Would Jesus find a home filled with joy or air stale like that of 20 year abandoned house?

We should live. We that are followers, believers in Jesus Christ should act like it all the time. We should be grateful for every step, for every breath and for every moment that has been granted in the garden. God put us here to worship Him and Him alone. Our basket should overflow with praise and rejoicing.

We should drink deeply of the new wine and breathe deeply of the breath of God. For this is the first step in seeking God’s wisdom and understanding.

“Whoso is simple, let him turn in here!”
As for him who lacks understanding, she says to him,
“Come, eat of my bread,
And drink of the wine which I have mingled.
Forsake foolishness and live,
And go in the way of understanding.
“He that corrects a scoffer gets shame for himself,
And he who rebukes a wicked man only harms himself. ~ Proverbs 9:4-7 NKJB

Seeking the wisdom of God, first, is the way of understanding. Understanding breeds knowledge to increase and as such our disposition changes to one of gratitude, empathy and forgiveness.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom:
And the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
For by me thy days shall be multiplied,
And the years of thy life shall be increased.
If thou be wise, thou shall be wise for thyself:
But if thou scoffs, thou alone shalt bear it. ~ Proverbs 9:10-12 KJB

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
