With Their Mouth They Show Much Love…

We attend Sunday morning services – worship, prayer and reading of the Word – as we find solace in worshiping and praying with others of the Way. Throughout the week there is much time spent in prayer, either solo in secret or with family and, other times, with friends. Staying in the Word, breathing in the Word and putting a great effort into living by the Word is our goal. Seek first the Kingdom of God, ask for Jesus’ direction and knock upon the door of Comfort and Counsel with the Holy Spirit. This does not make us great people, this is how we give all honor, praise and glory to God.

Upon departing the building called church we are back in this world. We see nothing changed from before and corruption saturates every aspect. We walk with God, we speak of God and we share the Gospel with others. With all the people that come and hear at the buildings called church on Sunday mornings, why do we rarely, if ever, see anyone, hear anyone speaking of Jesus or doing the Works of Jesus? Are our eyes blind to His peoples work, His children’s voice? Or is it something else?

So, they come to you as people do, they sit before you as My people, and they hear your words, but they do not do them; for with their mouth they show much love, but their hearts pursue their own gain. Indeed you are to them as a very lovely song of one who has a pleasant voice and can play well on an instrument; for they hear your words, but they do not do them. And when this comes to pass—surely it will come—then they will know that a prophet has been among them.” ~ Ezekiel 33:31-33 NKJB

Jesus is here, He is alive and lives within His children. Do they not see, do they not hear His voice? What do we say to others to activate their love for one another? How do we learn the Love Jesus has for others then take it to the masses – one person at a time? Having the gift of prophecy is not what we are discussing, having the Holy Spirit fire and living in our Christ identity is. When do we, on mass, begin openly living, openly discussing and openly being an instrument of change? Maybe if there were more of these activities the issue of Disney creating predatory, sexual grooming children’s entertainment wouldn’t matter. Maybe we wouldn’t be concerned if the pre-school “teacher” was discussing a sex change with our 3 year old child. Maybe we wouldn’t have 300,000 abortions in the black community on an annual basis – 300,000. Maybe more than 325 people being murdered in the city of Baltimore wouldn’t exist. Maybe these issues would no longer be issues at all.

For I will make the land most desolate, her arrogant strength shall cease, and the mountains of Israel shall be so desolate that no one will pass through. Then they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have made the land most desolate because of all their abominations which they have committed.” ’ ~ Ezekiel 33:28-29 NKJB

Our time is growing short. We need to soften our heart, open our eyes and turn our hands and tongue over the Lord our God, for we are not using them. We still have time, but the hour is getting late.

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
