As Many As The Lord Our God Will Call…
What shall we do? This was the question the people in Jerusalem ask Peter and the other Apostles on the day of Pentecost. It’s one of the best questions we, the Believers, could ask. What would You have me to do? makes the question stronger, more pointed and clearer. A great question to preface would be “What would You have me know about _____ ?”
Without hesitation Peter begins to answer their question and provide them with the Words of God Almighty through which the Holy Spirit had just placed in Peter’s mouth.
“Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. ~ Acts 2:38 NKJB

We love helping others and believe that’s one of the reasons we are chosen as Ambassadors of the Kingdom, to serve God’s children. We look to the Greatest Commandment as our Powering force.
This was not a gift just for the people in Jerusalem at that time. No, it was a gift for the whole of the world for all time.
For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” ~ Acts 2:39 NKJB
Why we don’t believe and accept this Promise is beyond comprehension. It couldn’t be any clearer. Repent, get baptized into the name of Jesus Christ (into His identity), the gift of the Holy spirit comes to all. Who wouldn’t want that in their life?
Prayer. The people on the day of Pentecost, and just after, were in constant prayer. There were about 3,000 after the first day that went house-to-house, breaking bread with one another, they prayed together and they spread the Word of God to others who then joined in this movement, this revival.
So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. ~ Acts 2:46-47 NKJB
Who doesn’t want to live in this manner? Moving from house-to-house, praying with others, speaking discussing the signs and wonders of Jesus Christ, spending time breaking bread and bringing more souls to the House of the Lord.
We can do this everyday, two days a week, one day a week, one day a month. The opportunities are unlimited. The recovery house down the street, the local rescue mission, the safe house for battered women, the small group going door-to-door after church, printing a favorite Bible verse and passing it out at the gas station, the hardware store, the grocery store, etc., on Saturday for two hours. Why wouldn’t we do this?
Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
