God Will Humble Me…

God Will Humble Me…

Is it not our transgressions and inequities that show us the way to, and of, the Lord, Christ Jesus? Is it not when we are completely lost from Him that He finds us, restores us and brings us back to the flock? Is it not our transgressions that are always before us, ever to remind us to be humble in our actions, in our words and in our deeds? Humility in pain. Humility in joy.

Now for the third time I am ready to come to you. And I will not be burdensome to you; for I do not seek yours, but you. For the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children. And I will very gladly spend and be spent for your souls; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I am loved. ~ II Corinthians 12:14-15 NKJB

When we are working with others it is Jesus who does the work. When Jesus Works through us, mountains move in others. When the Holy Spirit speaks through us, deserts become rivers, dry bones come to life and the glory of God of wonder is there for all to see, hear and experience. It is not us, it is the only by the glory of God.

When we share our inequities and transgressions with others, repent, we are coming clean before others and before God. We are admitting to others, to ourselves and, most importantly, to God that we unclean. The blood of Jesus Christ washes us clean. We are then His. Others know this as we share our story with them.

We have free will or we have the will of God. By accepting the will of God over our lives we are now responsible to Him. We are now living a different life, not the same life as before, but a life in motion towards Him at all times. To be filled, to know His love, His mercy and His grace is not to be pushed aside and thought of only on occasion, only on Sunday. But rather to be a demonstration of the gifts, the wonders and miracles that have been made manifest in our own lives. We were dead in our transgressions and through God’s mercy, He washed us cleaned with the forgiving blood of Jesus Christ who left us with the Comforter and Counselor to guide and direct our thoughts and activities all our days.

For I fear lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I wish, and that I shall be found by you such as you do not wish; lest there be contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, backbitings, whisperings, conceits, tumults; lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and I shall mourn for many who have sinned before and have not repented of the uncleanness, fornication, and lewdness which they have practiced. ~ II Corinthians 12:20-21 NKJB

Free will or Gods will.

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
