A Seed of Evildoers…

A Seed of Evildoers…

As our days unfold before our eyes do we see this world for what it is and what it has become? What is our response to be?

Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. ~ Isiah 1:4 KJB

The Prophets vision is always clear. The Prophets could see with clarity that most can only read, or hear, about their depth of vision.

As we give all praise, honor and glory to God Almighty are we serving His children as His children? Are we acting as if we are surrounded by our brothers and sisters in Christ? Or, are we acting like we are surrounded by people in the world? Do we respond to others in the same manner that Jesus Christ responded to people? When was the last time we embraced a leper, shared a meal with a prostitute, a tax-collector or other deeply broken person?

Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers. ~ Isiah 1:7 KJB

We watch our nation crumble into the sea and do nothing. We watch our children be groomed by sexual predators, treated as property of the state and we are so busy with the latest sporting event time evades us. Vision evades us. Our family evades us and our country is on fire, devoured by strangers and is become desolate. Do we see it? Can we see it?

We have chosen to sit idly by as these unfold before us. Our eyes are heavy with fear. Our hearts are hard and dark and our strength has become as soft as marshmallow. We are weak and full of fear as we make ourselves to believe we are strong, loving and caring for others. If these were so would there be 100,000+ thousand homeless in California? A border as open as a collapsed dam does not make a country.

The destruction of transgressors and of sinners shall be together,
And those who forsake the Lord shall be consumed.
For they shall be ashamed of the terebinth trees
Which you have desired;
And you shall be embarrassed because of the gardens
Which you have chosen. ~ Isiah 1:28-29 NKJB

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
