UPDATE 2:
There is a rumor that 50% of the Ottawa police force has resigned.
I have not been able to confirm this yet, and the rumor was started by a man named Pat King who was live streaming events last night and recorded some policemen on the streets of Ottawa who were sent out to investigate rumors of “mischief” but found none, and then left.
After the police leave, without making any arrests, Mr. King states that 50% of the Ottawa police had resigned yesterday. (Source.)
What I have found is that CTV News is reporting that Ottawa Police today are refuting what the Ontario Ford Government has reported, that 1,500 additional police have been deployed to Ottawa.
