All The Generations From Abraham to David…
One of the reasons our society is so lost at this point is we have no idea who we are. If you ask around you will quickly find out that most people have no sense of family. Most of the young people have no idea who their great grandparents are – this is a mere 3 generations removed. How can we have any idea who we are if we have no idea where we came from? History dictates future. The further back into history we look the further into the future we can see.
Jesus Christ has a lineage that stretches back some 840 years, 42 generations. Jesus, Joseph and Mary knew exactly who He was as they knew the generations that proceeded.

We love helping others and believe that’s one of the reasons we are chosen as Ambassadors of the Kingdom, to serve God’s children. We look to the Greatest Commandment as our Powering force.
This is the opening of the Gospels, the New Covenant – right out of the gate we are introduced to the family tree. This is not an accident.
We need to know we came from in order to know where we are going.
So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; from David to the deportation to Babylon, fourteen generations; and from the deportation to Babylon to the Messiah, fourteen generations. ~ Matthew 1:17 KJB
Our lives are no more complicated today than they were 2,000 years ago. People are born, get educated, get married, have children and then die. The cycle of life doesn’t change. It is our thinking that gets in the way. It is our thinking that turns away from seeking the face of God and seeking the Kingdom of God, first, is when we lose sight of what’s real. It is when we turn our back to God, and His Son, Jesus Christ, that we miss a step and our life goes off the rails.
Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son,
And they shall call his name Emmanuel,
which being interpreted is, God with us. ~ Matthew 1:22-23 KJB
Jesus, Emmanuel the Christ, is God with us. He is our Savior, He is our everything. Jesus is the breath in our lungs, the vision in our eyes and thoughts in our head. Jesus knew from where He came, He knew His lineage, His heritage. No confusion, no questioning about what to do, when to do.
Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
