You Are Not Your Own…

You Are Not Your Own…

The Temple is wherever we stand. The House of the Lord resides at the corner, in the office, as we drive our cars around, as we walk, as we sleep…wherever we are, the House, the Temple, of the Holy Spirit is there. The Holy Spirit lives in us and we abuse his dwelling.

One of the real problems with pornography is lose of life energy. When we look at pornography we are defiling another human being. We are committing a sin the Holy Spirit sees and will be revealed in the Light. Nothing is hidden, everything will be known. Confession is the only way to make this situation right in the eyes of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. When we look at pornography and reach the end of our session, we lose so much more than our dignity. We lose the essence of life that has been placed in us by God. We waste His energy and, literally, flush it down the toilet or throw it in the trash. This is not speculation, these are difficult Truths to look at, to read and to know they are part of our household, part of our family and part of our community.

Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? ~ 1 Corinthians 6:18-19 NASB95

When we lay with a multitude of people we are committing the sin Paul discusses in the passage above. When we lay with a multitude of people both parties become nothing more than a prostitute. The payment may only be the pleasure that is received in the moment but the price we pay is very, very high. The body is the Temple for the Holy Spirit…our direct connection to Jesus Christ. It is a life line we should respect and honor and glorify, we should never abuse it.

For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body. ~ 1 Corinthians 6:20 NASB95

We do these things out of fear. The fear of missing out, fear of losing a friend, fear of not having fun, fear of…pick your poison because at the end of the day they are all the same… nothing more than fear based in fear surrounded by fear.

Fear always has a “sidekick” a partner, another sin, the sin-of-sins riding shotgun…pride. More specifically, false pride, which always leads the parade. Why do you think the satanic-globalist picked the word “pride” to describe the homosexuals parade? That is not an accident, nor is it organic, happenstance or anything other than a deliberate tag line that people see as something that it is not.

The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him. ~ Romans 8:16-17 NASB95

We don’t have to live this way. We can be saved from this life of deviant destruction. Repentance, called confession, changing our ways, called amends and turning our will and our life over the care of God is how we turn our lives around. But let’s be clear, a person attending church every Sunday after spending every Saturday laying with someone different, laying with the same sex or watching pornography is not going to make it. They will not be saved and no amount of visits to church on Sunday or any other day will change that.

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. ~ 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 NASB95

Baptism, confession and being touched by the Holy Spirit, resurrected, born again by the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ changes our lives. Washes us clean of all our inequities, our transgressions and God breathes life into us once again. Breathe deeply of the love of God. Bathe in His Love and make clean the Temple, the House of the Lord and make much joy as it is shared with others!

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
