He Abides With You…

He Abides With You…

Our strength comes from God and our salvation comes through Jesus Christ. The cup we drink from is His, the bread we eat is His. We are nothing without the breath of Life flowing into our lungs from the One who called us here.

The deeper the dive the more a person comes to realize that prayer is the single most important tool in our tool box. We have the ability to communicate directly with God through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit, our Comforter and Counselor, is always present, always available and will never leave us. Just as Jesus Christ stated…

I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. ~ John 14:16-17 NASB95

It can not be made any clearer. We, believers in Jesus Christ, followers of His Word and those saved by grace, can receive Him, the Holy Spirit of Truth. Why would we not go to the Holy Spirit throughout the day and night for guidance? Why would we allow our brother or sister to sit on the bench, wanting to help, begging to help and we not allow them to help us? What is the difference with the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is sitting there waiting for us to call upon Him for His guidance.

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.
“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. ~ John 14:12-15 NASB95

These Words from God are absolutely alive. If these Words are not speaking directly to your heart please pray more, please seek more and please dive a little deeper. This chapter is used a lot for our purposes because of the weight and power that springs forth. When these Words are read – life springs forth. When the Words are read – beauty is in abundance. When the Words ar read – the presence of God can be felt at all levels of life. The room is filled with His presence, our heart is filled with His love and our soul sings praise of His glory and His honor. It is only because of His tremendous love for us that we know anything, that we feel anything and that we have anything. Breathe on me oh, Lord. Touch my heart and fill my soul. Allow this moment to remain. The peace that fills the air is beyond description – that Peace has a name – His name is Jesus Christ.

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of God, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
