Having Compassion for One Another…

When we don’t understand we turn to the Lord, Our God, Jesus Christ. Seeking after His wisdom we find solace, we find the Comforter and Counselor in the Holy Spirit. The answers can be clear but usually we find parables to our situation. Seeking first the Kingdom of God in Heaven, we see our needs are met with joy and thanksgiving.

The Father of All gives us free will. We are allowed to turn towards His Kingdom or we can turn away from it. The choice is ours. It is in the choosing that we find difficulty. In our heart is where we wrestle with the choice to be made. While turning towards God, should be easy, for most us it is not. Turning to God is a choice that fills our heart, mind and soul yet we sometimes reject it. Choosing the narrow path, choosing to follow Jesus Christ, doesn’t mean we are giving up, it means living to the fullest. It means we are going to be surrounded by people that love life, that love the Lord and people who love us, if only as a brother or sister in Christ, they love us.

We come before You, Heavenly Father, God Almighty and bow at Your feet. We bow for no one else, we bow before the One True King, the King of kings. With eyes closed and heads bowed we raise our hands to give You praise. We love You, Father God and we give our lives to You. We offer only our hearts, our minds and our souls as we have nothing else of value. You, Heavenly Father, can have it all.

Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. For
“He who would love life
And see good days,
Let him refrain his tongue from evil,
And his lips from speaking deceit.
Let him turn away from evil and do good;
Let him seek peace and pursue it.
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their prayers;
But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” ~ 1 Peter 3:8-12 NKJB

Heavenly Father, God Almighty, we humbly come before You seeking Your wisdom for this day, the day the Lord has made. We seek Your direction and guidance as to what we can do to better serve You and Your children. Father God, we knock upon Your door to learn what You would have us to know in this day. We thank You, God Almighty for renewing our mercies in this day and for making our path clear.

Strengthen us, Father, in this day to approach Your sons and daughters with a glad loving heart. Strengthen us, Father, so that we may serve Your sons and daughters as our brothers and sisters in Christ and not as strangers or evildoers. Strengthen us, Father, that we may be glad to suffer for Your love, that we may be glad and be of good cheer when we are alone in the middle of the street with only our thoughts; strengthen us, Father, to think of Jesus Christ and the love He has for us. Let us sing His praise, instead of walking in pity.

Let us always remember the miracle that You performed in bringing Your son, our brother, Erik, back from death. Let us remember, Heavenly Father, it was Your hand that fully restored Erik and lifted him from his bed and made him to walk again. Let us rejoice and be glad that You still perform miracles in this day and every day. You are a Mighty God and we are Your sons and daughters. We will not be ashamed to reject the untrue as we give You, Jesus Christ, the praise, honor and glory as we place the name of Jesus Christ first and all others second.

In the name of Jesus Christ loving name we pray. Amen Amen Amen
