Walking In Inspiration…

Walking In Inspiration…

How is it that we are inspired? Should we expect to always be walking in inspiration? Inspire is a derivative of “Spirit” – to be in Spirit. How does it happen the Holy Spirit moves in us, around us and brings us Comfort and Counsel. When we feel as though we are not inspired, does this mean we have turned our back to the Holy Spirit, has the Spirit “taken a vacation” or is something else happening?

Is it a separation in our heart that makes us to feel or believe we are not hearing from the Spirit of God? Or are we, in fact, being inspired but the enemy is creating doubt in our heart so that our mind tells us what is happening is not happening.

He [Paul] said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” And they said to him, “No, we have not even heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.” And he said, “Into what then were you baptized?” And they said, “Into John’s baptism.” Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in Him who was coming after him, that is, in Jesus.” When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying. ~Acts 19:2-6 NASB95

Would it be when a person thinks they have been baptized in the Holy Spirit that maybe that has not happened? Could it be their identity in Christ is so strong there is a bit of confusion on the part of the believer?

Is speaking in tongues a requirement to acknowledge one has received the Holy Spirit? If not, is there a sign, a multitude of signs or some divine thought that comes upon the believer? Does the Holy Spirit come from the laying of hands, prayer and repentance? Or does it just happen – something like, during prayer time, quiet time or another point during the day or night? Is there is a physical change?

Walking in the inspired Spirit is a highly important, deeply personal situation for each believer.  How do we know for sure? Are you walking with the Holy Spirit?

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
