We Are Exactly Who We Are Suppose To Be

We Are Exactly Who We Are Suppose To Be

For You formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb. ~Psalms 139:13 NASB95

Is it possible to be a turnip? What about a person proclaiming they are the opposite sex from which they are born? What about proclaiming to be circumcised when in fact they are uncircumcised?

When God knits us together in our mothers womb is there room for error, does God make mistakes during the knitting? Are we nothing more than a science project for “the universe” to play with, to manipulate or be thrown in the trash if we are found to be defective or after we have been stripped of our “useful parts”?

My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;
Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them. ~Psalms 139:15-16 NASB95

Well we are none of those things anymore than we are a “drug addict”, “alcoholic”, “stripper”, “hooker”, “womanizer” or “terrible______”. When we are in the presence of a parent, with a heart, and someone refers to their child as one of these “names” watch how they react. The first thing they will say is – “that’s my son or that’s my daughter you’re talking about” Without fail this comes out. The parent is, usually, highly offended at someone “renaming” their son or daughter as a lie.

God only makes sons and daughters and can you imagine how hurt God is when we agree with the devil when the devil calls us one of these horrific lies? “You’re a drug addict…yes, yes I am.” God does not make anything less than perfect. God is incapable of making something less than perfect. We are His children and He loves us more than words can describe.

O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
You understand my thought from afar.
You scrutinize my path and my lying down,
And are intimately acquainted with all my ways. ~Psalms 139:1-3 NASB95

To be born again we must know something is out of balance with our lives. That something is our relationship with Jesus Christ. We are living separated from Him and His ways. We are living in our ways and allowing the lust of the eye to be our guide. We are worshiping false gods, be they sports, booze, women / men, work, exercise and the list is endless. When we build-an-idol we are replacing God with a false god. This is nothing but trouble as our life is completely out of balance. Of course, pride is leading the parade as we are attempting to put ourselves out front instead of following, in humility, behind the Love of Jesus Christ. False pride is usually the grand marshal of our self-centered, self-serving, selfish ways. Why wouldn’t it be?

Our lives are worth living. Our lives, which belong to God, should be lived to the fullest. How do we do that? We stop living in fear. We stop allowing the world to dictate our path and listen for God to direct our lives. When we eliminate fear, we begin living and stop dying.

I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well. ~Psalms 139:14 NASB95

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
