Manna For Today…

Manna For Today…

When we live in the past we can not move into the future. When we are stuck on a pain that happened yesterday we can not live for today.

Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no. ~Exodus 16:4 KJB

When we walk in today, the day the Lord made, we are alive in Him that made us. We are not living with the guilt of the past nor the fear of the future, we have an opportunity to be stable in our plans that align with the Lord.

This allows us to readily hear from Jesus Christ all throughout the day. We can call upon Emmanuel, God with us, in a flash as we “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness” before we make a foolish, self-centered, self-serving, selfish decision that kicks Jesus Christ to the curb. But the sad truth of the matter is, we have little faith that God, through Jesus Christ, will care for us and provide for us even though God told Moses and later Jesus told the disciples.

Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? ~Matthew 6:30 NKJB

Jesus is confirming what the Lord told Moses. We are to live in today and He will provide what need – He knows what we need – He knows what we need. We needn’t ask for things that Jesus already knows we need. When we first seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness we should seek the things that will bring us closer to Him, things that will Advance the Kingdom, people that need to find the Lord, these are what we should be seeking. This will bring riches to our life, not wealth, but riches in Heaven, riches in the fullness of our relationship with Christ.

Why is so difficult to hear easy to understand language and easy to follow instructions? Why don’t we try it? Why don’t we do our best to live it?

Let go of the past, think about the future but don’t go there and stay focused on today. Don’t allow for any fear of the future to steal from today and don’t allow guilt of the past to dictate our relationships in today. Then we can truly live for Jesus Christ in today.

Either the Scripture is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
