Symbols: Primary Way Of Communication Throughout History

Symbols: Primary Way Of Communication Throughout History by Randolph Jason for Gospel News Network

Throughout all of history symbols have been one of the primary forms of communication among humans. The stained-glass windows of the great Cathedrals across Europe were put in place to tell the stories of Scripture to those that were not allowed to speak Latin. It was the symbols of Jesus Christ, Prophets, Moses and all the other aspects of Scripture that were communicated in pictures, symbols, not spoken or written words.

Today we see the same thing. If I say the word Jesus, many will see a cross in their mind. If I say the word “peace” many will see a “peace sign” being two fingers making a “V” or the crows-feet symbol in a circle. If I show a picture of a hamburger I do not need to tell you it’s a hamburger you know what you are looking at. A red octagon sign means… A yellow upside down triangle sign means… a cross on top of a building means… an arrow painted on a street, painted on a floor or a wall or taped to post by along side a roadway means…

So we have an endless array of symbols that communicate to us all day, everyday. It is the world we live in and always have. What happens when you disguise a symbol and make it appears as something beautiful when it in fact it is something demonic? What happens then?

Probably the most notable symbol of this disingenuous communication of our time is the symbol below. God used this symbol as a way to communicate to the world that He would never flood the world again and that all was set right. Now, the six color rainbow flag, which is a modification of the seven color Rainbow from God, means something demonic.

In two different sources – here and here – the number six seems to represent sin, being incomplete and focused on man instead of God, which makes perfect sense with the use for a false-pride flag.

The number six represents a falling away, of sorts, from God. Man sees himself as being the creator of his own destiny and the creator of his own life. This is a false-pride doctrine.

In the Bible, the number 6 symbolizes man and human weakness, the evils of Satan and the manifestation of sin. Man was created on the sixth day. Men are appointed 6 days to labor.

What about other symbols that may have been manipulated to be used for evil? Would we notice, would we care or would we simply accept them as being something beautiful, cool or simply creative? It didn’t happen by accident, just like the great Cathedrals stained-glass windows, the Cross and all the other symbols that surround us everyday of our life. These symbols are powerful and we need to understand what they are communicating to us, at us and around us. We need to move away from them, remove them from our sight and remove them from our communities, otherwise, we are going to suffer the consequences. Our communities are being consumed by darkness, right now, and these symbols are, quiet literally, everywhere. Coincidence, we think not.

How do we combat this situation?

If we simply stop using google for any aspect of our daily life that would have a tremendous impact. I can hear the outcry now…”I can’t do that, there products a powerful, helpful and make things easier!!” or “Have you gone mad!!” or “I can’t do that because all my emails…blah, blah, blah.

Well, ask yourself this. Do you actually believe the Scripture? Do you actually believe the teachings of the Prophets, Jesus Christ and believe the Holy Spirit lives with you? Do you believe Jesus Christ, Emmanuel, was tortured, hung on a cross, died and was resurrected for your sins? Are you sure?

What does this symbol mean…

What about this one…

What about this one…

What about all of these?

What about this one…

I could go on and on and on.

Imagine if we spend more time each day with this symbol staring us in the face…

Instead of this symbol

Or this

Or this

What will that do to us? We do not know, but what we do know is before we spent time with the symbols of the devil surrounding every aspect of our life, our communities, our families and our lives were in a much better place – there was a far deeper, more meaningful richness in our lives and coalesce within all our communities. Coincidence…we think not.
