Nearly half a century into the Cuomo dynasty’s stranglehold over the New York state Democratic Party, the once-beloved but always crooked Andrew Cuomo has resigned as governor in disgrace, effective in a fortnight.
Like the bully he always has been, the pugnacious politician once regarded as a hero of the pandemic by the corporate media refused to go down without a fight. Even as the most vile of rats, such as former secretary Melissa DeRosa, abandoned the sinking ship, Cuomo did not stop smearing his 11 sexual harassment accusers — all of whose claims were vetted and corroborated by state Attorney General Letitia James — as liars, up until the very same press conference where he announced his resignation.

A blue state succeeding in pressuring its tyrannical party prince from Albany on the grounds of corruption is a success devoid of partisanship as much as it is a victory over partisanship. But even if it’s not too little, it certainly is later than his victims who cannot speak for themselves deserve.
As James delineated in her devastating report, Cuomo’s serial predation of female subordinates was not just impeachable, but criminal. Long before his first accuser, Lindsey Boylan, broke the dam in going against her entire party to accuse the liberal lion de jour of harassment, Cuomo had already, quite literally, gotten away with murder.
