Dwelling In The Lord…

Dwelling In The Lord…

When we rest in Jesus Christ, Emmanuel, we are sitting with the King of kings. He has prepared a place in His heart for us, why wouldn’t we prepare a place in our hearts for Him?

Jesus tells us time and again that He is with us in every step, every breath and every situation. All we have to do is turn to Him, confess our fear and He will comfort us and make us to be with Him in a very short period of time.

“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way where I am going.” ~John 14:1-4 NASB95

Jesus is the Way. Jesus tells the Disciples they will be with Him. Jesus is telling us He will be with us and we already know the Way where He is going. How can we know the Way? Well, He is the Way. He is the Truth. He is the Life? Is that not what a large part of the Gospels are about – telling us in a variety of manner that Jesus is Lord, He has come and we should follow.

We don’t believe. Philip didn’t believe or see or hear while he and the other Disciples were sitting right there in front of Jesus. Just as today, lots of people claim they believe when their actions say otherwise..

If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.
Philip *said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” ~John 14:7-8 NASB95

Jesus is, literally, speaking directly to Philip, the same as He speaks directly to us, and Philip still did not understand, still did not believe. Why do always question when we hear the voice of God speaking directly to us? That crazy phrase, direction or word that is dropped at just the right moment and our response is “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” instead of following, acting and diving deeper.

Have you heard from Jesus Christ, Emmanuel, today? Did you believe you were hearing from Him – The Way, The Truth, The Life?

Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
