To The Glory…

To The Glory…

From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ return to Earth.

From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men –
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

From the centre which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

Sometimes when the Bible it just hits like a 2×4 across the forehead. Not in a violent, destructive manner, but in a way that feels real, striking deeply in the soul and every Living Word breathing life into the body of sin. Like a breath of fresh air to one that has been trapped below the waves.

Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. ~Philippians 2:3-4 NASB95

What would our world look like and how would our society function if the collective accepted this simple truth as Truth? How much more advanced would our society be in 2021? War would not exist, locks on doors would not exist and most certainly we would not awaken to another report of a violent weekend in Chicago.

No none of these things, and a great many more, would be relics of the past. What if a handful of us did this throughout the day, beginning today? Would our neighborhood change?  What about our work place, grocery store and gas station? What impact would it have on these everyday places if we simply looked at other people with reverence instead of contempt?

Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. ~Philippians 2:5-7 NASB95

The “form of a bond-servant“. When do we become slaves to Jesus Christ as He became a slave to man? The clothes He wore, the humble attitude and always in service to others.

If you’ve never served food to others that have no food you should try it. If you’ve never built a kitchen in the middle of the forest, that feeds 700 people a day for 5 days, you should try it. If you’ve never served at the local Rescue Mission today would be a good day to volunteer. To see the humility on the faces of those that understand and accept their position it is a truly humbling experience.

The first noticeable thing, unlike we are told 24/7 on the TV, skin color and ethnicity does not exist, only brothers and sisters. It’s amazing how it completely disappears. There are no words to describe how this happens or why it happens, it just does. Working with people that need help transforms us. Giving away what we have transforms us. This is what Jesus Christ is trying to teach us everyday that we attempt to draw closer to Him.

For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. ~Philippians 2:9-11 NASB95

When one serves others giving the glory to Jesus Christ comes naturally, if Christianity is part of who we are giving praise to God is as natural as breathing. When we give it all away and leave nothing on the table, it all goes to God. No one is left thirsty, hungry or naked.

Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
