Sin Is Sickness…
Prayer is one of the most powerful weapons we have as people. When we pray to Jesus Christ that power goes exponential. The power of prayer through the Christ identity is power beyond measure. If this is true, why wouldn’t the same prayer for turning us away from sin be the same prayer, just as easy, just as powerful, as praying for healing of illness, healing of broken bones, the same as broken hearts and souls? What is the difference?
Therefore do not let what is for you a good thing be spoken of as evil; for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. For he who in this way serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men. ~Romans 14:16-18 NASB95
When we pray to God through His Son, Jesus Christ does this not invoke all the beauty, healing and strength of Christ our Lord? It should. So, praying for healing a broken heart is no different than healing a broken leg – healing is healing.
But Jesus, aware of their reasonings, answered and said to them, “Why are you reasoning in your hearts? Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins have been forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? But, so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins,”—He said to the paralytic—“I say to you, get up, and pick up your stretcher and go home.” ~Luke 5:22-24 NASB95
Living our lives following the teachings of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit means we are moving closer to God all the time. If we boast about living this way we are not living His Way as we are wasting our time making it about us instead of about Him. We are to simply praise, worship and live our lives and be known by our fruit. We pray for healing of others and the healing takes place. We bring others to Christ and their lives are forever changed.

Who has believed our message?
And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot,
And like a root out of parched ground;
He has no stately form or majesty
That we should look upon Him,
Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him. ~Isiah 53:1-2 NASB95
Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
