Patiently Waiting…
How many times during our life have we heard reference surrounding “waiting”, being patient as we wait and “good things come to those who wait”?
And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” ~Acts 1:4-5 NKJB
Odds are this is where the world learned about being patient and waiting for good things to happen. It is in the waiting we learn discipline. It is in the waiting we learn about our family, our community and ourselves. There is much to garner from waiting. If we wait with a patient heart we have a much better opportunity to hear the still small voice. We have a much better opportunity to slow down, calm our restless mind and still our fidgety hands.
The Lord was patient with us as we ran away from Him. He pursued us as we ran faster in the opposite direction. Still, He was patient. Our Lord has waited for us to awaken and draw nearer to Him for most of our lives, all He is asking is for our patience as He readies the response to our prayers.

We love helping others and believe that’s one of the reasons we are chosen as Ambassadors of the Kingdom, to serve God’s children. We look to the Greatest Commandment as our Powering force.
We want our prayers to be answered now, but Jesus Christ answers prayers on His time, not ours.
Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” ~Acts 1:6-8
Quiet, still and patient is the word of the day. Slow down, love on your family, love on your community and let love flow through your heart, soul and mind in a carousel of beauty, forgiveness and patience. The Holy Spirit is here to rain down on us, fall upon us, guide us and be with us all our days, as we witness in His identity to those around us.
Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
