Deception and Accusation…
What are the only two weapons the devil can use against us? deception and accusation – he can only deceive us and accuse us. “You’re an idiot.” How many times today have you heard this in your mind? That did not come from God. “You’re a terrible ____“. That did not come from God. Deception and accusation – right there in our mind / heart all day long, everyday. We need to break this cycle and replace it with praise and worship for our Lord, Jesus Christ and let Him tell us who we are – all day, everyday.
When we serve others, as Jesus Christ serves us, it becomes more of a task for the devil to tell us horrible untruths. There is little room for the enemy to sneak in the side door, change mask several times and then plant seeds of deception. The devils tricks are played as we approach to serve others “That person’s dangerous.“That person’s sick.”That person’s doesn’t want your help.” All lies from the devil. Or we may hear something like – “So, now your a holy person, a doctor.” “So, you think you can serve others?” “You can’t do that.” All lies from the devil.
Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. ~Philippians 2:1-4 NKJB
If we allow our imagination to deliver our image of Christ to our mind, seek His face and ask His direction He will happily deliver. Christ died for us and now thinks we are the greatest person on earth – each one of us. Do you believe these things to be true? Act like you believe it, live like you believe it and be happy in it. Jesus is not complicated or damning – He is loving and ready to serve as soon as we ask, seek and knock.

We have a choice – we are allowed to make that choice because of God’s grace He allows for free will. We can either choose to believe the words of Jesus Christ, Son of God, Light of the World, the Way, the Truth, the Life or we can ignore those Words of Truth. He knows your Christ identity – do you know your Christ identity? If He calls you by your Christ identity, will you respond? Will you know that Jesus Christ is calling you?
Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
