Are We Prepared…

Are We Prepared…

When do begin getting ready for the coming of Christ? When do begin to meet our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ? What day does it start?

According to God, who provided very specific instructions to Moses, the first day of the first month of the second year the tabernacle of the tent is to be raised and sanctified.

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: “On the first day of the first month you shall set up the tabernacle of the tent of meeting. You shall put in it the ark of the Testimony, and partition off the ark with the veil. ~Exodus 40:1-3 NKJB

Sounds like we, those of us living today, are way behind the curve and should be preparing each and every day of our lives. We should be readying ourselves for the coming of the Lord. This does not mean we should run  off to the hillsides and prepare a stronghold, no quiet the opposite. It means we should be storing up favor in the Lord by serving Him, His children and being righteous ambassadors in this world so that we live in the Light of His love with every breathe we are allowed.

If some of you need something a little more timely, a little more New Testament, well, here you go.

Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?”
But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him. ~Matthew 3:13-15 NKJB

We pray that you are preparing today for what is coming tomorrow.

Remember a few years ago when all the “swarms of tornados” ripped through Alabama and Missouri? As tragic as it is for someone to die the number of people that passed away during this day was very low. Why were the numbers small? Because people were prepared. Not only were people prepared before tragedy hit, some were prepared for after the storm had passed.

Prepare today to store up riches in heaven. For the day of the Lord is at hand.

Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
