What Would I Be Doing…

Fear, F.E.A.R. (false evidence appearing real), is one of the most used words in the Holy Bible. It is one of the greatest weapons used against people all throughout history. Beginning in early 2020 the world was dealt a massive dose of F.E.A.R. and the residual effects are still reverberating around the world to this day. Why? Because people love to live in F.E.A.R.. I’m not sure why.

Horror movies, before the plandemic, were one of the few genres of movie still attracting people to movie theaters. The most read articles on this website have to do with F.E.A.R., anger and hatred – the articles about God’s love, trust and beauty are all but ignored. It is F.E.A.R. that people want to read about, hear about and see play out before their eyes.

What if we ask God, right now, this question – What would I be doing if I were to live fearlessly? What would you be doing if you lived fearlessly? When we listen for God’s voice does it get louder as we get quieter? As we quiet our mind, calm our heart and invite God to take over, does the still small voice become as a roaring lion?

Open the gates,
That the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in.
You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
Trust in the Lord forever,
For in YAH, the Lord, is everlasting strength. ~Isiah 26:3-4 NKJB

Remaining focused on God keeps our mind, our critical thought processes, our imagination and our heart all centered on serving God. This keeps us actively engaged in the present. When this happens God’s trust in us grows and as His trust in us grows He showers our lives with more responsibility making it possible for others to experience God’s awesome power and strength.

You can’t make yourself something you are not. God can make you whatever He wants you to be. Others see God’s grace, mercy and blessings in our life when He transforms us, but we can not make that happen and we can not tell others what they are seeing or hearing, only God can do that. Only God can make the change known and only God can make the changes visible.

Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
