Separate and Unified…
What makes us believe we can be separate and unified at the same time? The forces of evil, especially those that have been captured at the highest political levels, have done a marvelous job over the past two decades of creating division among the people. We are now as divided – separated – one from another as we have ever been. With the advent of so-called “social distancing”, lockdowns and gathering places, like churches, restaurants and parks being shut down how much further separated can we be?
With each passing moment the loneliness grows colder which creates anger and frustration and this is taking a toll on the people. The separation forced upon us that pushed us out of church and is attempting to keep us from God, is winning and losing all at the same time.
“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, that you love one another. ~John 15:11-17 NKJB
What people fail to see or believe is that sin means separated from God. When we are separated from each other – families not being allowed to visit loved ones in hospitals, assisted living or retirement homes deepens the loneliness to levels we are unfamiliar. This separation is, literally, killing people. God intended for us to be together, to be with one another. God intended for us to hold hands, hug and kiss one another. If that wasn’t the goal He would not have given us soft lips, warm hands and strong arms. He would not have made the eyes the window of the soul so our loved ones, close enough to look inside, would see exactly what is happening in our lives and know how to respond. Pain, joy or love – our brothers and sisters, mother and father know who we are and know the depth of love required to comfort us in our deepest valley or to push us to greater heights.
Now is your chance to support Gospel News Network.
We love helping others and believe that’s one of the reasons we are chosen as Ambassadors of the Kingdom, to serve God’s children. We look to the Greatest Commandment as our Powering force.
We are suppose to be with one another, in love with one another and sharing love with one another. The more separation among the people we experience the further from God we will drift. The further from God we drift the more people will forget their foundation of Christianity. If you think we have societal problems now, let this separation continue for another year and the riots, looting and burning down of cities will look boy scout and girl scout jamboree.
We must remember we are not of this world, we are ambassadors of the Kingdom and here in this world for a short period to spread the the Gospel, the good news, that Jesus Christ is risen! Being a visitor means some of the people are threatened by our presence, they hate us and hate what we do and how we live. We draw strength from our our Father, love from the Son of God and wisdom from the Holy Spirit. The haters in this world need more attention, more love and more encouragement.
“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. ~John 15:18-19
Jesus Christ makes it impossible to made any clearer.
Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
