Strategy vs History…

Each Daily Devotional, for more than a year, we have placed at the bottom the following statement…
Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
The purpose is to challenge how we use the Holy Bible. Is it a “textbook” to be used to study history and events that were important or is it to be used to make us think differently, see differently, feel differently, act differently and live differently? These are extremely important questions and view points. If reading and studying the Holy Bible doesn’t move and change our lives what do we think Jesus Christ is trying to teach us? What do we think Jesus Christ wants us to do?

If the goal is to “read a chapter a day” that’s great – what is the purpose? If the goal is to “read a chapter a day” what impact will it have on our thinking, our life, the way we see others? If the goal is to “read a chapter a day” how much closer does it bring a person to Jesus Christ and develop a desire to share with another non-believer?
How much time and how many ways can these three statements – not chapters, not a single chapter, but tthree short statements spoken by Jesus Christ as recorded by John, what kind of impact can this have on a persons life – every aspect of a persons life?
