Powerless, Greater Power, Control…
Walking in darkness makes it’s difficult to find your way to the Light. Having someone help locate the door knob that opens the door to the Light can prove to be a wise move. Smart is learning on your own, wise is learning from others mistakes that makes the trip to the goal line easier, quicker and less painful.
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. ~Romans 8:5-6 NKJB
Having someone help find the Way to living the Spirit-filled life is, actually, more than helpful, it really makes the journey richer, more fulfilling and beautiful as one traverses the narrow path.

We love helping others and believe that’s one of the reasons we are chosen as Ambassadors of the Kingdom, to serve God’s children. We look to the Greatest Commandment as our Powering force.
- We admitted we were powerless over alcohol, that our lives had become unmanageable.
- Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
- Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.
When your mind is reeling, your emotions raw and it feels as if you are completely alone and no one cares, things turn dark – quick. Having another person to talk to, share yourself with, eases everything. And when discussing everything, that’s exactly what is meant – everything!
When we are sick, living a sin-filled life, we must find healing, a healing touch. Jesus Christ is where that healing touch is found. Today, we have one another who come before the Lord. When two come together in the name of Jesus Christ, He is there in the midst. Jesus can then heal the broken spirit.
“Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. 16So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.”
Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.” And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour.
Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?”
So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” ~Matthew 17:15-21 NKJB
Prayer and fasting, combined with faith, removes the demons from our lives. We know we are powerless. We come to realize that Jesus Christ has all power and if we turn our will and our lives over to His care we will be restored.
Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
