Prayers for Healing…
We all get emails, text messages and phone calls about a friend, family member or an acquaintance that needs prayers for one reason or another. How many times do we send an emoji of praying hands, hearts or we will keep them in our thoughts and prayers as we are taking our next step in the middle of our “busy day”? Never once thinking about what has happened, who it is or how much that person may need our prayer at that moment. With a great many of us it happens all too often.
We should stop, pray and then send an actual prayer to the person on the other end of that message. If it’s a phone call, even better, pray with the person on the phone – stop everything and pray. Pray like your life depends on it – what if the person we are praying for is in the fight for their life? Sometimes we don’t know and other times we will never know, so, it may be best to default to life altering prayer.
“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” ~Matthew 18:19-20 NKJB
If someone ask for prayer, that is equal to one person. When we offer our prayer, in the name of Jesus Christ, there are now two people involved in this prayer – Jesus Christ is in the midst and doing what only He is able to do. His healing hand has now been requested. We may never know what happens with the one being prayed for, but what we can say with absolutely certainty is – it is God’s will that has been done.
