Lies, More Lies and Other Lies…
Do we begin again to commend ourselves? Or do we need, as some others, epistles of commendation to you or letters of commendation from you? You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart. II Corinthians 3:1-3 NKJB
If you’ve ever been an unwilling victim of a lie, told a lie or been fed a lie, after a while, there is an understanding of the dangers, pain and maddening brain spins a person must go through that only pushes us further and further away from our Father, our Savior and the Truth itself. Living a life saturated in sin is tiresome. There is no such thing as a “simple lie” or “little white lie”. The point of a lie is to keep someone from the Truth. After a short period it becomes a lot of work to maintain the life of the lie and if one’s life is nothing but a lie, well, the stress becomes overwhelming.
It’s no secret that our world is currently split, almost down the middle. Each side of the argument believes the other is lying about what has happened, what is happening and what is about to happen. The Truth shall set you free. Truth is based on facts, events / evidence and, in one case, faith. There are no other measures for what Truth is and what Truth is not. A persons “feelings” do not determine what is Truth and what is not-Truth.
It is only when we admit to ourselves that we have lied about something that we can actually begin to move closer to God. The separation from God that is created by cloaking our lives in lies begins to take on a life of it’s own. At some point we are so far down the rabbit-hole the Light grows dim and then we are left in complete darkness.

We love helping others and believe that’s one of the reasons we are chosen as Ambassadors of the Kingdom, to serve God’s children. We look to the Greatest Commandment as our Powering force.
What ends a lies destructive tear? The Truth – only the Truth can end a lie. Another lie digs the hole deeper, entangles the knot and creates even more separation. If lying to ourselves is the norm what does that mean for those in our lives, around our lives and casually passing by our life? They don’t stand a chance. Having so little respect for ourselves, to the point of lying our way through the day, only means that when a person speaks they become incapable of speaking Truth. Let’s get something straight – no one “owns” Truth. We’ve all heard someone refer to “my truth” or “their truth” – wrong. There is Truth and there is not-Truth, there are no other options.
Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things? For we are not, as so many, peddling the word of God; but as of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ. II Corinthians 2:14-17 NKJB
Either the Gospel is the divine Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
