Not Ashamed, Not Guilty…

Why is it we sometimes hesitate to make mention of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit or Father God? We sometimes will find our tongue simply doesn’t want to move to give glory to God. What happens in those moments? Is shame or guilt or something else stepping into the fold?

The times we don’t want to do something, usually just about anything, is the exact time we should do it. Of course, if there is a sense of danger and the Holy Spirit is saying “run” or “change direction” we should immediately act. The Holy Spirit knows far better than we will ever know.

It’s those time when we are speaking or writing to someone that our tongue goes a stray, our heart turns, just for a moment, to stone and we deny God for a split second. Our flesh is a beast, in more ways than one. It must be reigned in every second of everyday. The moment we let our guard down and step out of the Light the devil is waiting – prowling like a lion waiting to devour us.

Paul reminds us of who we are and what we must do.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” ~Romans 1:16-17 NKJB

Unashamed, out spoken and guilt free we should trudge forward spreading the Word of God, the Gospel as taught by Jesus Christ and the Apostles. We should live our lives as Jesus Christ, the Great Healer, teaches us to live. We should walk, talk and breathe every breath as if we fully know and realize the Holy Spirit lives in us, walks with us and speaks through us.

The Holy Bible is the written Word of God. It is not inspired by God, it is His Words spoken through His one and only Son, Jesus Christ and a variety of prophets and Disciples. It is either is or it isn’t.

For circumcision is indeed profitable if you keep the law; but if you are a breaker of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision. Therefore, if an uncircumcised man keeps the righteous requirements of the law, will not his uncircumcision be counted as circumcision? And will not the physically uncircumcised, if he fulfills the law, judge you who, even with your written code and circumcision, are a transgressor of the law? For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; 29but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God. ~Romans 2:25-29 NKJB

Either the Gospel is divine inspiration, the Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
