Remission of Sins…

Remission of Sins…

As the days go by and we either move closer to God or further from God, He never changes; He never leaves us. We can study His Word, we can breathe in His Word and we can do our level best to reflect His Light and we will be judged by Him for He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead.

With few exceptions during the dark years nothing of this was ever a thought. Getting closer to God was never part of the day, now when at least some portion of the day isn’t spent with Him, seeking His face, asking Him for guidance and knocking at the door of His wisdom that day usually turns out to be a little different than the days spent with Him. Is this imagination, is this reality?

To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.” ~Acts 10:43 NKJV

This morning as the day was really getting geared-up, Zach Williams was blasting in the background.

Get behind me, satan
No more fear and no more shame cause
My debts been paid
I am no longer your slave

I will sing a song of deliverance
I will lift my hands and drop these chains
Walk out free in Jesus’ name
I will sing a song of deliverance
Oh oh Hallelujah oh oh oh
I am free ~Song of Deliverance by Zach Williams

It’s funny how a little thing like listening to a worship song can set the day on a path previously unseen. How the simple act of reading a few words, writing a few words and spending time with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, can reset the entire day. No matter how big the mountain or how deep the valley…He is there waiting.

Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him. The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ—He is Lord of all—that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached: how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. ~Acts 10:34-38 NKJV

Either the Gospel is divine inspiration, the Word of God teaching us how to live and how to be a reflection of Him, or it’s nothing more than a historical account of events.
